Tata – Jaguar Land Rover’s Indian owner have also announced that profits for the brand are currently around £32m. During the past 12 months there have been around 13,000 new Land Rover sales.
More recently there has been a lot of interest and talk around the new Range Rover Evoque – which is due to go on sale later this year.
The Range Rover Evoque was unveiled two weeks ago at a star-studded event in London. It’s interior has even been designed by ex-Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham! The new coupe was unveiled at the motoring brand’s 40th birthday at Kensington Palace in London.
It’s set to be the smallest and most fuel-efficient model in the collection – it has been manufactured from the initial LRX Concept Car which was unveiled way back in 2008. It will hit showrooms this summer and will go on-sale in September. Judging by the worldwide response it’s set to be a big hit – so if you’re interested it’s probably worth registering your interest sooner rather than later…
The new Evoque is smaller and sportier than any other model in the range and has been designed to appeal to a younger, fresher audience. The collaboration with Mrs Beckham demonstrates the brand’s desire to be thought of as a trendy and fashionable car – for many, Land Rover’s as often seen of as a ‘statement car’ and the new Evoque is only helping to reinforce this image.
